How are you? I hope you're all well and you've been enjoying your summer holidays if you've been lucky enough to have some! ;-)

 

Our Stammtisch in August will be next Friday evening already! Despite me sending these emails out a little late, I hope plenty of you will still be able to join us! (Providing you won't be away on holiday of course). ;-)

 

The details of our August Stammtisch, are as follows:

 

Date:               Friday 5th August

 

Time:             Softball game: from 6:30pm till approximately 8pm. Then those playing/watching the game, will go on to the restaurant to join the others there who won't be playing/watching the game. The players will be able to walk to this restaurant together from the game grounds. It's not far away at all! ;-)

 

Restaurant: tables will be booked from 7pm onwards for those who don't wish to watch/play the softball game.

 

Where:         Softball game:   Friedrichsau Park, Ulm

 

Location is the same as where we always previously played in the past. We play in the   field close to the Festplatz (where the Volksfest, Französichedorf is, etc). There is also a lake nearby as well. For those who don't know exactly where we meet – check out this location below on Google Maps, and/or call me on my mobile if you get lost – 0171 385 1275.

The organiser of the foreign language group on Facebook and myself, have decided to join forces together for our next July Stammtisch. That's for both the softball game, and the restaurant afterwards. That's one reason why we will be going to Hundskomödie again for July, due to the fact we may need more space to accommodate more people. ;-)

Germany play their second match of the European cup (England play at 3pm, Germany against Poland at 9).

We had our first spontaneously organised softball game of this season last week, and the weather and grass conditions turned out to be perfect for it! We had the game as a second attempt for the previous one we'd had planned for May that sadly got cancelled due to such heavy rain. Due to popular demand, we are having our next Stammtisch on Friday evening again, as several people requested it. I hope this still means plenty of people will be able to join us…

This is the first time I'm going to this restaurant with the Stammtisch group. I have been before myself though! I tested this restaurant out a little while ago. I went to check out the size of the place and to make sure there will be enough room for everyone! I also found out that the pizza is very good, and the staff are friendly too. Hence why I decided to make a booking for us there and then. ;-)
