The only way that I know, is to subscribe to the blog as a "feed". For example Windows live Mail, or Google Mail has a reader online, that delivers updates to your account. I see that you are at Yahoo, I am sure that they have this as well. Just look for a "Reader or "Feeds" and give the adress of the blog, and when it is updated, then you should get te news.

I'm still not clear how this all works...   is there a way to automatically be informed when the Americans-in-Ulm-blog is updated?  I did not know there was a Stammtisch this month until after it happened...I see a link to subscribe at the bottom of the page, but then am asked to save something or other.
