Hi everyone
Just read that Berlitz language school and SpaZz magazine are putting on an event in Xinedome on January 20th - 2008 at
11 a.m. They're offering historical background information about the film Elizabeth - The Golden Kingdom (in English) in the X-Lounge - and then the film will be shown in English.  It costs 5 euros and pretzels and coffee are included.  If you're interested, they said you should go to stadtgespraeche@spazz-magazin.de  to sign up.  Sorry - but this address doesn't work right now.  Maybe it's not set up yet.
See you soon.
Dawn
p.s.  Next English Stammtisch will be on January 17th.  I'll let you know soon where we'll be meeting.

Fw: English Stammtisch - Nov. 15th

Subject: English Stammtisch - Nov. 15th

Hi Everyone

I hope you already have your snowtires on your car!  It looks like you may need them to get to

English Stammtisch on Nov. 15th at Cafe Ambiente in Söflingen, Gemeindeplatz 11 - starting at 7 p.m.

The cafe is in "downtown" Söflingen. You can easily walk there from the streetcar's final stop - if the snow is too deep to drive! ;-) You may remember meeting at Cafe Ambiente quite a few times several years ago. Our old room way upstairs has now been designated as the smoking room - so I've reserved tables on the first floor instead. The food selection is limited at Ambiente, but you can eat there.

If you have any books, magazines, or English-related information to share, please bring them along.
Hope to see you there.

Fw: Stammtisch and Fall Softball

Subject: Stammtisch and Fall Softball

Hi one and all,

Well I'm back in case anyone missed me!

I hope everyone saw Dawn's e-mail regarding the Stammtisch and softball on Thursday evening. Fall (autumn) is the perfect time to play baseball/softball even if the weather isn't ideal. That means you just dress a little warmer and anticipate a cool, fall evening. I brought my own baseball bat as well as a smaller, lighter bat, which I bought for die Frauen, back from America. Therefore, you now have more choices and can't use the excuse that we don't have a bat for you. If the weather cooperates, let's try meeting a little earlier, say between 18:15 and 18:30.

Your COACH,

George Taurman III
