Hi one and all,

 

This may be our one and only chance to play softball before Matt heads to the USA for vacation. As some of you know, Matt and I act as coaches (co-hosts along with Dawn and Dietmar) for an evening of fun, adventure and laughs. You do not have to be athletic to have fun! We will meet in Friedrichsau Park between the Donau and the Aquarium near the last tram stop around 18:30 to start warming up. We usually have enough equipment for everyone to play. All you need to bring is yourself, a willingness to try and a little pocket money for something to drink afterwards. The weather doesn't have to be perfect to play softball and everyone knows the weather here is almost never perfect so try to be a little adventuresome and show up Wednesday evening. Dawn, Matt and I will talk the closer it gets to Wednesday evening in case we have to cancel due to flooding, a hurricane or other natural disaster. Soooooooooo……what I'm really trying to say is that the idea is to play even if the weather is not perfect. We hope to see as many as possible next Wednesday.

Hello Everyone

Time for some more English conversation! The feedback was positive after the last Stammtisch at Bräustüble, so let's meet there again this month.  And then maybe at Ulmer Zelt next time??  Could you let Heather, me, - or the baseball coaches - Matt and George - know if you're interested in playing baseball again this year.  If interest is shown we'll plan a game soon. 

We don't want poor George to freeze his knees out there all alone on the baseball field again this year!

Let's try a new venue for our first get-together in the new year. Have you been behind the new library in Ulm lately (the pyramid)? There is a cafe/cocktail bar called Becker's between Schwörhaus and the library. They serve meals, too. The outside walls are all made of glass, so you can't miss it.
