How are you? I hope you're all well and you've been enjoying all this lovely sunny weather we're having! J

 

The organiser of the foreign language group on Facebook and myself, have decided to join forces together for our next July Stammtisch. That's for both the softball game, and the restaurant afterwards. That's one reason why we will be going to Hundskomödie again for July, due to the fact we may need more space to accommodate more people. ;-)

 

The details for our next meet-up are as follows:

 

Date:             Thursday 7th July.

 

Time:             Softball game: from 6:30pm till approximately 8pm. (Then those playing/watching the game, will go on to the restaurant to join the others there who won't be playing/watching the game).

 

Restaurant: tables have been booked from 7pm onwards for those who don't wish to watch/play the softball game.

 

Where:         Softball game:       Friedrichsau Park, Ulm.

Location is the same as where we always previously played in the past. We play in the field close to the Festplatz (where the Volksfest, Französichedorf is, etc). There is also a lake nearby as well. For those who don't know exactly where we meet – check out this location below on Google Maps, and/or call me on my mobile if you get lost – 0171 385 1275.

Please note:

• If you wish to attend the softball game, don't worry if you can't make it as early as 6:30pm, it's still possible to join in if you arrive late. We usually start playing an actual game at about 7pm. The same thing applies for the meal at the restaurant. If you can't make 7pm, don't worry. Just arrive when you can.
• Please let me know if you'd like to take part in the softball game or not, when you reply to this email. I just need to know how many people are planning on coming for the numbers (– we need at least 20 people to play a proper game).
• The same thing goes for the meal at the restaurant, I need to know if you're coming, and if you're bringing anyone with you or not. This is very important for the booking and ensuring we have enough space (tables and chairs) for everyone!! ;-) Thank you!

Hello, hello

 

I hope you haven't had to pump water out of your basement after all the rain.

 

Let's meet for English conversation on June 16th - starting at 7 p.m.

According to reliable sources, (that means Heather) next week Thursday, June 16th, is a big soccer/football day.

Germany play their second match of the European cup (England play at 3pm, Germany against Poland at 9).

So - after refreshing beer and conversation, the soccer fans will probably want to move on to a sports bar at 9 pm.  The others can carry on with their conversations.
