Hi all!!

 

How are you? Well, I hope?!

I trust you've all been thoroughly enjoying this fantastic weather we've been having?!

 

It's Sarah here. I am the one who is planning to organise a 2nd group to meet up each month...(Due to the group being too big at the Stammtisch in April and May.)

So, at the last English Stammtisch at Hund Komodie...I sent round a list for people to sign, with their e-mail address (enabling me to send this!) and also asking people which night of the week is best for them to meet up.

The result basically showed that Thursday nights is still favourite.

Therefore, I (with Heather's agreement!)...decided that we could split the group by having one Stammtisch on the 1st Thursday in the month (which I would organise) and one on the 3rd Thursday in the month (which Dawn and/or Heather would organise as it was previously).

However, the first Thursday in July in already THIS THURSDAY - THIS WEEK!

I realise I have been incredibly late in sending out an invitation for this months meet up and please accept my sincere appologises for that. ;-)

 

So, I decided to invite you all along (eventhough its short notice) and find out if enough people will be interested/available.

 

I was thinking of meeting up at Kornhauskeller Cafe in Ulm from 19:00pm. It has a seperate room out the back, where we could go...enabling us to be away from other guests who go there, not being disturbed by them and vice versa. ;-)

Although as the weather will probably be glorious again...we may end up using the Beer Garden out the back - size permitting!! (Depending on how big our group turns out to be)!

Hi Everyone

 

You already know that we're meeting on Thursday, June 17th - always the 3rd Thursday of the month in 2010.

 

Meeting place is Hundskomödie Restaurant in Friedrichsau Park in Ulm, starting at 7 p.m.   If you park on the parking lot where the RVs (or camper vans) park and walk into the park from there, you will see Hundskomödie on your left.   We can sit on the patio if the weather is nice - which will keep down the noise a bit. 

Harry will be visiting from Scotland on that evening.

 

The last two months we've had about 50 people attending the Stammtisch gatherings and many people feel that the group is getting too large - and too loud for good English conversation.  And conversation is the reason we meet.  So.... 

 

Sarah Jane Lees has offered to start a second Stammtisch group - possibly on Friday evenings.  Sarah plans to be at Hundkomödie on the 17th  - and would like to collect the email addresses of those of you who might be interested in joining  - should we say -  the younger Stammtisch.  Please bring along ideas and suggestions of how we can get the new group started. Thanks, Sarah, for agreeing to do this.
